fairy circle リング（デンドリティッククォーツ）

きのこが円環状に生える神秘的な自然現象「フェアリーサークル」。
その幻想的な姿は、古くから妖精たちが踊った跡として語り継がれてきました。

その神秘的な伝承から着想を得て、きのこと粘菌が輪を描きながら共生する、sizleだけの架空の生態系をリングに仕立てました。

今回のリングに選んだのは、植物の枝や森の風景を思わせる模様が浮かぶ、デンドリティッククォーツ。
透明な石の中に広がるその繊細な模様は、まるで小さな森や、地中に張り巡らされた菌糸のようにも見えます。

地上では、それぞれ異なる姿をした小さな生命たち。
けれどその足もとでは、目には見えないつながりが静かに広がり、互いを支え合いながら、ひとつの環を育んでいます。

自然の中に偶然生まれるデンドリティッククォーツの模様と、フェアリーサークルという神秘的な現象。
異なるかたちで現れる「自然のつながり」をひとつのリングに重ねました。

手元に宿る小さな円環と、その内側に広がる小さな森が、
自然の中に息づく、目には見えないつながりをそっと思い出させてくれます。


fairy circle Ring – Dendritic Quartz

The “fairy circle” is a mysterious natural phenomenon in which mushrooms grow in a ring-like formation.
For centuries, these enchanting circles have been associated with legends of fairies dancing in the forest.

Inspired by this mystical phenomenon, I imagined a fictional ecosystem unique to sizle — where mushrooms and slime molds coexist, tracing a delicate circle together.

For this piece, I selected dendritic quartz, a natural stone featuring delicate, branch-like patterns that resemble tiny plants or a miniature forest within the crystal.

The patterns emerging inside the transparent stone remind us of the hidden networks found throughout nature — much like the invisible mycelial threads spreading beneath the forest floor.

Above the ground, each tiny organism takes on a different form. Yet beneath their feet, invisible connections quietly spread, supporting one another and nurturing a single circle of life.

The mysterious form of the fairy circle and the naturally occurring patterns within dendritic quartz come together in this ring, expressing the beauty of connections that cannot always be seen.

A small circle resting on your hand, with a tiny forest held within it — a quiet reminder of the invisible connections woven throughout nature.
